Thanks for dropping in with your question on the community!
You actually asked a good, and not silly question when it comes to protecting your bamboo table. You are concerned with possible damage to it, and you have many options when it comes to saving it from the rain.
In terms of what to use, you can use items we sell in our hardware or our paint department. No matter what you choose, all of them will protect the table from the elements, and just as important, aren't expensive either!
First off, we sell rubber leg tips in our hardware aisle at your local store. They are easy to put on, and depending on the diameter of the legs will determine what size to get for them. The image below shows a 1 inch diameter...
There are also versions that can nail in to the bottom of the legs as well, but check all of your options out on the hardware aisle to see what the best solution is for you.
You asked of an item that is like a wax or similar material, and if you want to use that, you can go to your paint department and choose one of the items listed below if the items above aren't what you are looking for.
While we do sell Paste Finishing Wax you can use an item that won't wear off and last longer than wax, shown in the image/link below...
Just like the pliers shown on the label being dipped, you can do the same thing with your bamboo legs. Or you can use a small brush and apply it on. Plasti Dip works great for all items around the house, so don't worry if you have too much left over, it's a great multi-use item.
